The PetServices.gr is a web-based application platform with a main focus on pet care. The application serves for the best possible information and search for the User in order to be able to choose and to trust the right person (PetSitter) to take care of his pet, or take it for a walk.

Through the platform, the User has the opportunity to choose the PetSitter he/she wants and "visit" his/hers online profile and view their services. You will also have the opportunity to see reviews and ratings from other Users in order to have a full view of the PetSitter who wishes to choose.

The relationship that is created between the User and the PetSitter is a direct connection between them and the platform bears no responsibility for for the agreement to be concluded between the two parties. The platform shall not bear any responsibility for the behavior of the user, the PetSitter and the animals, nor any other use of the platform, and disclaims any and all liability.

(a) For Users

The platform is offered solely for use by Users whom are guardians of domestic animals and they have the obligation to create an account (profile) on the platform with all the information that are requested.

Basic premise is the authentication of the User, to prove that he's the guardian of the pet and for that reason a photocopy of his identity is required or his representative. Pets need to meet the requirements for boarding, as stated by 4039/2012 Law, which requires a health booklet, (particularly in case of dog walking which requires proof of annual anti-rabies vaccination) and that is not feral or dangerous to the PetSitter or the DogWalker.

The User has the obligation to provide the PetSitter with the pet's food and medication or any other formulation, as well as instructions for the amount of food and the dosage of medication that is necessary for taking good care of the pet. Also the User must provide any necessary accessories required like (toys,leash, etc.).

In the case that the User does not meet the above requirements will be additionaly charged for the food, medication or anything else. A PetSitter has the right not to accept the pet if the User does not comply with his obligations of providing specialized food or medicine and in this case, the User is charged accordingly.

(b) For PetSitters

A PetSitter has the obligation to comply with the necessary health and boarding requirements, in order to be able to accommodate pets according to their needs.

A PetSitter has the obligation to create an account (profile) with the details of which will be certified by the identity and their VAT. In the profile section the Petsitter needs to notify the platform what type of services he/she provides (sitting/walking/boarding), the basic requirements for the safety of the pet and any other information that is relevent and required.

It is expressly agreed that it is not allowed to board more than two pets at the same time.

Eventhough the platorm bears no responsibility for those premises, a PetSitter needs to publish them.

(a) For Users

A User is required to choose the PetSitter it considers appropriate for the service he/she needs, whether it's boarding, sitting or walking.

Users must be aware that the platform will charge each transaction with a percentage of 10% of the price set by the PetSitter in each booking they make. Users pay the requested amount after the PetSitter accepts the reservation (minus 10% for the platform services). PetSitters, receive their payment one day after the end of the reservation.

In the event that the reservation does not proceed within 12 hours (which the PetSitter has to accept or not) of the booking (for upcoming dates), or 24 hours (for future dates), the User is under no obligation to pay the amount required for the reservation.

For any changes in the platform's charging rates, both parties (the User and the PetSitter) will be informed via the platform.

Pets that are abandoned to the PetSitters for more days than agreed, whithout informing the PetSitter or PetServices.gr, will be considered STRAY.

In the above case we are obliged immediately to act according the law, by calling the spca of the area in which the PetSitter is located, retaining all its legal rights in relation to the abandonment for any additional costs or fees.

(b) For PetSitters

A PetSitter sets the price depending on the providing services, (boarding, sitting, walking), within his initial offer.

A PetSitter must be aware that in every accepted booking, the platform will withhold from each transaction, an additional 10% of the price that has been set. After the PetSitter accepts the reservation, he/she will be paid for the requested amount (minus the 10% rate), a day after the end of the reservation.

A PetSitter has at his/hers disposal 12 hours to accept (or not) the booking when it becomes available for a upcoming date and 48 hours when it relates to a future date (ex. reservations made for 2 months later).

(a) Cancellation by the User

The User can select one of the following cancellation policies taking into account the gradient of services (boarding, sitting, walking). Specifically:

• The User receives a full refund if cancellation occurs up to 15 days prior to the start of the service.
• If cancellation by the User occurs after the 15th day prior to the start of the service, he or she will receive, a refund of 70% for the cancelled days.

All of the above are related to the services provided.

(b) Cancellation from the PetSitter

Cancellations from a PetSitter is taken seriously and may result in account checking, temporary suspension and possibly termination of the access to the platform. A PetSitter is expected only to accept reservations that is committed to complete. The platform understands the need for exceptions when it comes to mitigating circumstances. Examples of this kind include, among other things, the death of an immediate family member, natural disaster or other catastrophic events that makes him/her not be able to provide a service.

In any case, PetServices.gr reserves the right to a 10% rate charge from the reservation.

As has been mentioned above, the relationship between the User and the PetSitter is a direct relationship between them and PetServices.gr bears no responsibility.

Since a PetSitter agrees to provide boarding, sitting or walking services, he/she expressly undertakes the risk of any damage, including damage to property or personal injury, that he/she or someone else in the house can be undergone. It is the sole responsibility of the PetSitter to make decisions that are in the best interest of themselves and the pet(s) they care for. PetServices.gr bears no responsibility for any damage or injury to the PetSitter or the pet(s).

As a PetSitter, you acknowledge and agree that the platform, as well as the guardian of the pet(s), bear no responsibility to compensate for any physical damage that may be caused by the guest pet(s) in your estate (PetSitter's) and you agree that you are not entitled (in case of material injury caused by the pet(s)), any compensation from the platform or the legal guardian of the pet(s).

In the event of illness of a pet during the hosting, the guardian or someone who will be authorized by the guardian is obliged to collect the pet immediately (Guardian's liability). The platform assumes no responsibility with regard to this in case If the pet is not collected on time.

If for some reason all the above are not possible to be applied, we will make every effort to offer first aid to your pet, from the available vet.

PetServices.gr bears no responsibility in case of injury or death of a pet.

These terms of use are governed by Greek law. In the event of resolution of a dispute that may arise with these terms, jurisdiction is apointed to the court of Athens.

All material in the Site belongs to the platform or its licensees of the platform. Protected by Greek community and international copyright laws, and exclusively belongs to the PetServices.gr or to their respective owner and is available to visitors strictly for personal (non-commercial or for-profit) use. You can't use these items, unless we give you written permission to do so.

The trademarks, images, names and logos of PetServices.gr belong to PetServices.gr. Any other trademarks, service marks, logos and / or trade names that appear on the Website are the property of their respective owners. You agree that you acknowledge the rights of PetServices.gr and the respective third parties in those marks. You may not copy or use any of these marks, logos or trade names without the prior written permission of the owner.

VIII) Ownership and Use

PetServices.gr reserves the ownership of the intellectual property rights and you do not have any right to intellectual property and its rights. Except to the extent actually reading material in the Website, as well as use the Site or the Services (or download, or print such materials for your personal reference), you have no right to use, copy, display, perform, create derivative works from, transfer or assign a license by information or content available on the Site, other than user Content that is created. You agree that we will have a perpetual right to use and incorporate into the platform of PetServices.gr any comments or suggestions for improvement that you provide to us on the platform, without any obligation of compensation.

In addition to the non-exclusive license granted to PetServices.gr on the user Content, PetServices.gr will not acquire ownership rights in the user Content that you post.

PetServices.gr makes every effort to ensure that the content and information appearing on the website is as accurate and true as possible, but it is not responsible for their reliability or their completeness.

PetServices.gr does not assume any obligation to monitor the information provided by users that becomes available in our database. The use of any information transmitted via our platform is done solely at your own risk.

PetServices.gr reserves the right to change, modify, add, alter the content or the services of the website, as well as the terms of use at any time it deems necessary and without prior notice, by announcing them via the platform.
