I. Terms of Service
A. For Pet Owners (Users)

Use of Services
PetServices services are intended exclusively for pet owners seeking professional care services for their companion animals.
By accepting these terms, the user confirms that they are at least eighteen (18) years old and legally able to enter into service agreements.

Booking Process
Bookings are arranged following phone or electronic communication with the PetServices team.
After collecting the necessary information, PetServices proposes a suitable caretaker based on the pet’s needs and the availability of our partners.

Pet Owner Obligations
Pet owners using PetServices’ services are required to comply with the following:

Accurate information
Pet owners must provide complete and truthful information regarding the pet’s health, behavior, diet, and any medical or behavioral conditions.
If a pet shows aggressive or dangerous behavior, PetServices must be informed in advance so that the service can be assessed accordingly.

Legal & health requirements
The pet must have an electronic identification microchip registered in the pet owner’s name, an up-to-date health booklet, and the required vaccinations.
In cases of contagious illness or parasites, the pet owner must inform PetServices before the service begins. PetServices reserves the right to refuse service in order to protect caretakers and other animals.

Care supplies & equipment
The pet owner must provide everything necessary for proper care, including food and bowls, veterinarian contact details, cleaning supplies, leash and muzzle where required, and the pet’s personal items (toys, bed, etc.).

Communication & availability
In emergencies, the pet owner must be reachable or must have designated a responsible contact person. The pet owner must also promptly inform PetServices of any changes (e.g., new veterinary instructions or changes in behavior).

II. Terms of Cooperation with Caretakers

Caretakers work with PetServices as independent partners.

Onboarding Process
Caretaker onboarding includes completing an evaluation questionnaire, an initial introductory video call, an in-person meeting, and training material prior to the first assignment.

Caretaker Obligations & professional conduct
Caretakers are required to act with responsibility, professionalism, and respect follow the agreed care protocols promptly inform PetServices of any issue/emergency or change in availability and respect the privacy and personal data of pet owners.

Consistency with bookings
Once a caretaker has accepted a booking, the caretaker is expected to honor the booking unless there is a serious reason (e.g., force majeure). In such cases, the caretaker must inform PetServices as soon as possible so that an alternative solution can be arranged.

Pet Boarding
For boarding services, hosting more than two (2) pets by the same caretaker is not permitted. The caretaker must ensure suitable living conditions (space, cleanliness, safety). If any issue makes continued boarding impossible, the caretaker must inform PetServices immediately.

III. Bookings & Payment Terms

A. For Pet Owners
Services are provided at a predetermined price per visit of one (1) hour. Availability depends on demand volume and the service area.
No prepayment is required. Payment is made: (a) upon the pet owner’s return for occasional/short-term services, or (b) at the end of each week for ongoing/regular services.
Available payment methods include electronic payments to PetServices’ business accounts (bank transfer, e-banking, card, IRIS) or cash paid directly to the caretaker upon completion of the service.
PetServices is not responsible for financial transactions made outside the agreed payment channels.

B. For Caretakers
Caretakers are compensated based on a predetermined amount per one (1) hour visit. Payment is made by the pet owner unless the pet owner chooses to pay electronically through PetServices.
If the pet owner pays electronically through PetServices, PetServices will pay the caretaker within seven (7) days after completion of the service. The amount may be set off against any outstanding commissions/amounts owed to PetServices.
PetServices is not responsible for delays or non-payment by pet owners unless the transaction has been made through PetServices’ business accounts.

IV. Cancellation & Caretaker Compensation Policy

At PetServices, we understand that changes or cancellations may occur. For this reason, we apply the following policy, aiming for fairness, transparency, and the protection of both pet owners and our caretakers.

In the event of visit cancellations, compensation of €5 per canceled visit applies, of which:

  • €4 is paid to the caretaker

  • €1 covers PetServices administrative costs

Compensation is paid only when the cancellation is made within less than seven (7) days before the scheduled visit date.

Maximum compensation limit

  • Total cancellation compensation may not exceed €60 per booking, regardless of the number of cancelled visits.
  • The maximum compensation corresponds to compensation for up to twelve (12) cancelled visits, with a maximum amount payable to the caretaker of €50.
  • This compensation does not replace the full cost of the cancelled services, but provides partial coverage for the caretaker’s reserved time and the related administrative burden.

Exceptions (no compensation)
No compensation is paid in the following cases:

  • If the pet owner returns one (1) day earlier than scheduled

  • If the cancellation is made up to seven (7) days before the start of the booking

  • If the cancellation is due to PetServices’ responsibility (e.g., inability to assign a caretaker)

  • For regular/weekly clients, where exceptionally and at PetServices discretion, compensation may not be applied for an individual cancellation, within the context of long-term cooperation and good faith

Important clarification
Compensation decisions are made exclusively by PetServices. Caretakers do not request or negotiate compensation directly with pet owners. PetServices reserves the right to apply exceptions only by company decision, in cases of force majeure or long-term cooperation.

V. Limitation of Liability
PetServices acts as a coordinator between pet owners and caretakers. Caretakers provide their services as independent partners and retain sole responsibility for the performance of their duties.
PetServices bears no liability for any damage, injury, or loss occurring during the provision of services unless proven to result from mismanagement or misinformation by the company.
PetServices is not responsible for financial transactions made outside the approved payment channels.
